Lately, in social networks, the concept of "healing your inner child" has been seen a lot. What are we talking about when we refer to the therapy of our inner child or girl? The American therapist and clinical social worker Shari Botwin – who was a victim of sexual abuse as a child – has specialized in this and from her private practice in Philadelphia, she spoke to us about the importance of looking to the past: "People are recognizing that being an adult is partly understanding the impact of the experiences we had growing up and learning how to better manage those feelings when they are activated in the present."
